Background Edit

Ahmed bin Shafiq financed terrorist operations, including the attack on St. Peter's Basilica. He was designated as an assassination target by the Central Intelligence Agency and the Office.

Key Events Edit

Bin Shafiq met Abdul Aziz al-Bakari on the island of Saint Barthélemy. He became aware of being surveilled and, putting that together with other events, concluded that Sarah Bancroft was an operative for an intelligence agency.

He met her after she had been flown to Switzerland and assured her that she would talk under interrogation but that if she cooperated she would, at the end, be killed quickly rather than slowly.
