Background Edit

Rabbi Jacob Zolli was the religious leader of the Jews in Venice, Italy.

Key Events Edit

The Rabbi explained the effects of the Holocaust on the Jews of Venice to Gabriel Allon. He also apologized for the conduct of his daughter Chiara, who had spent a year in Israel and came back completely changed. In answer to Gabriel's inquiry about Jews being granted refuge at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Zolli told Gabriel that the opposite was true; Jews requesting sanctuary were turned away.

Presumption Edit

Rabbi Zolli was unaware, at least in The Confessor, that Chiara worked for the Office.
